Review - Wings, Edinburgh

Wings in Edinburgh keep things simple by selling, well, chicken wings.  A few simple sides are on offer also (chips, fried tortilla strips etc) but the only reason to pay a visit is to purchase wings, wings and more wings.

The menu offers a wide variety of dry and saucy flavours including sriracha buffalo, honey and garlic, Parmesan and a whole lot more.  For the traditionalist, the 'Scottish pepper' flavoured wings are coated simply in jumbo sea salt and offer a stripped back insight into the quality of all the wings on offer.

The decor is cool and geek friendly with an array of comic book strips and movie memorabilia atmospherically lit with some beautiful hanging ceiling lights.  The road ahead is made clear immediately upon arrival when a mountainous stack of napkins and a bucket (for bones) arrives on the table.

With simple but friendly table service, very reasonable prices and delicious wings with a flavour to suit every taste, this place is well worth a visit.  They serve alcohol too which is always a bonus and might assist anyone brave enough to take on their spicy wings challenge.

Wings Edinburgh are located at 5 - 7 Old Fishmarket Close, High Street, Edinburgh.  You can visit their website here.
